Older babies also have flexible routines but they naturally begin to develop daily patterns usually centered on mealtimes, sleep times, nappy changing etc. As they grow older we will encourage independence in self-feeding and early language. Equipment has been carefully selected to encourage their development.
By the time babies move into the toddler unit they are capable and ready to accept more structured routines. They still have lots of free play but there are times set aside during the day when the children are encouraged to learn new skills such as painting, sand and water play, listening to stories etc.
Children in nappies are changed every 2 1/2 hours unless they poo or wee in between!
