Our Pre-School facility has many rooms which are set up to follow areas of the foundation phase. Through structured activities children will have the opportunity to experience and achieve all the learning outcomes set within the foundation phase. The main areas of learning are:

*Language, literacy and Communication

*Physical Development

*Knowledge and understanding of the World

*Mathematical Development

*Creative Development

*Welsh Language

*Personal, Social and Emotional Development

We offer experiences and activities that make the transition from nursery to ‘big school’ easier. Many more educational activities are introduced into the daily routine, and we encourage children to develop their independence and ability to problem solve, promote positive thinking and self motivate.

We work very closely with an LEA teacher who ensures our daily planning and focused tasks are to the highest standard. We are registered with Bridgend County Borough Council as a provider of early years and education; parents are entitled to claim a grant from the local authority, for eligible 3 and 4 year olds attending The Children’s Day Nursery. Children become eligible for the grant funding from the term following their third birthday. The full value of the grant is £431 per term, and intended to cover the cost of up to 5 sessions, or a minimum of 10hours provision a week, which must be taken over a minimum of 3 days.
