Our Curriculum at The Childrens Day Nursery

At The Childrens Day Nursery we promote the Welsh Governments Curriculum of Wales for Non Maintained Settings .We follow the curriculum as we know that high-quality nursery education provision is essential to children’s development and through this curriculum practitioners will provide the experiences, knowledge and skills needed for lifelong learning and future employment all of which begin in the early years.
The Curriculum is based on five developmental pathways which are fundamental to the learning and development of all young children

The Curriculum supports the ‘four purposes’ this allows our children at the start of their educational journey to become:
*ambitious, capable learners
*enterprising, creative contributors
*ethical, informed citizens
healthy, confident individuals

At The Children’s Day Nursery Children will learn through play-based, authentic & purposeful learning led by their own interest. The children’s keyworker observe the children using their professional knowledge and plan next steps for each child individually. We gather observations and share these through our Nursery Famly App and Engagement Sessions.
